Project Overview
I worked with Mode Project, a motion design studio based in Chicago, IL in 2023. During my time freelancing with them, I had the opportunity to collaborate with the team on creating a new logo animation for the company to use with future material.
I was tasked with taking the official logo of Mode Project, adding design elements to it, then animating the new design elements with their logo. After doing design research, we agreed on creating a miniature city within the letters of the Mode Project logo. Each abstract building, tree, and home were meticulously placed in the design to give each letter of the logo it's own unique composition. I did this while also keeping the larger composition as a whole feel cohesive and balanced.
The animation done here introduced the letters of the Mode Project logo one by one with subtle exemplification. While also allowing each city element to be brought on in their own unique way. Certain city features loop at the logo reveal to keep this complex design engaging as the camera slowly animates. It was a pleasure to work with Mode Project on this one and to work with their well-designed logo.
